Hey, be understanding. Some people just cannot back a boat into the water. It is much easier to drive into the water and float the boat off the trailer. Makes sense to me.
For some reason I remember the story as being the guy didn’t want to go in forward he just got out of the truck without putting it in park and/or the brake on. It rolled into the water that way. Still a dumb move, but not as bad as going in forward because you thought that is how you do it.
